Mercedes SL, GT, and EQS join Dubai Police luxury patrol fleet on World Tourism Day
New fleet to boost safety presence at landmark destinations
DUBAI – Coinciding with World Tourism Day, Dubai Police announced the addition of three new Mercedes-Benz luxury patrol cars to its celebrated fleet.
The vehicles, launched by the Tourism Police Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, are equipped with the latest sustainable transport systems and artificial intelligence technologies.
Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, inaugurated the new models at a ceremony attended by senior Dubai Police officials and representatives of Mercedes-Benz and Gargash Enterprises.
Guests included Colonel Omar Al Mutawa, Lt. Colonel Muhammad Abdulrahman, Thomas Schulz, General Manager of Mercedes-Benz Cars, Ali Gargash, Fadi Ballout, and Khalid Al Mazroui.
Advanced models
The new patrol cars comprise the Mercedes SL 55 AMG, the Mercedes GT 63 AMG, and the Mercedes EQS 580, an advanced electric model. Each vehicle integrates cutting-edge AI features, including interactive displays offering real-time driver information to ensure superior handling and performance.
Brigadier Al Hajri highlighted the strong partnership with Gargash Enterprises, the official Mercedes-Benz dealer. He noted that the luxury fleet is designed to reinforce police presence at key landmarks including Burj Khalifa, Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, JBR and other popular areas. The initiative reflects Dubai Police’s ongoing commitment to upgrading its fleet with the latest vehicles.

He added that the luxury patrols will enhance public reassurance and allow officers to extend a wide range of services to visitors, from providing information and guidance to delivering police assistance, underlining Dubai Police’s community-focused approach.
Sustainable mobility
Thomas Schulz of Mercedes-Benz Cars described the addition of the new models as a milestone in sustainable mobility cooperation. “We are proud of this strategic partnership with Dubai Police and of adding these new vehicles to their luxury fleet,” he said, emphasising the shared vision of advancing modern transport solutions.
The event concluded with Brigadier Al Hajri and Schulz exchanging commemorative shields to mark the occasion.
